PEMS offers a range of tools to assist placement allocation. This is particularly important for regulated courses such as those in medicine, healthcare and teacher education where users are required to undertake complex pre- and post-placement checks and report activity to external bodies.

Although often simpler, non-regulated placements still follow similar principles. PEMS offers a useful plug-in which bolsters the communications and monitoring capabilities of existing University Careers management systems, allowing administrators to focus on identifying placement opportunities and new providers rather than undertaking repetitive administrative activities.
