PEMS offers a range of tools to match and allocate students to work-based placements based on pre-set criteria. This is particularly useful for regulated courses such as those in health and social care, and teacher education, where Universities and Educators are required to manage and report placement activity to external bodies.
It is designed to accommodate automated allocation but also contains ‘drag and drop’ and ‘MapView’ features to support administrators in adjusting automated matchings and/or to specifically pair a student and with a placement based on their unique requirements. Built-in system filters allow administrators to prioritise students and placements, making allocation (or reallocation where placements have been cancelled) quick and effective.
